Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with known sepsis upon admission

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Diagnostic Accuracy (Sensitivity, Specificity, PPV, NPV, AUC-ROC) of the nurse-led scoring systemTimepoint: At the time of diagnosis of sepsis based on clinical and laboratory confirmation, during each febrile neutropenic episode (i.e., baseline for each febrile neutropenic episode).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Identification of predictive variables for early detection of sepsis in febrile neutropenia Comparison of diagnostic accuracy of the nurse-led tool vs qSOFA scoreTimepoint: At each febrile neutropenia episode, during initial assessment and within 24 48 hours At the time of sepsis diagnosis confirmation, during each febrile neutropenia episode
