Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: History of hysterectomy with or without oophorectomy. Female patients of 35-60 years of age. Patient have mild to moderate depression which is assessed by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (8-16 score indicate mild depression, 17-23 score indicate moderate depression). Patient who are willing to participate in study & giving written informed consent. Patient who can read/understand either Hindi, English or Bengali.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patient with chronic physical illness like diabetes, hypertension will be excluded. Patient suffering from any malignant pathology. Severe depression in Hamilton Depression Rating Scale will be excluded (24 and above score indicate severe depression). Patients who are already taking homoeopathic treatment or other medications for any other chronic diseases within last 3 months. Patient suffering from any other psychiatric illness. Not taking any antidepressive allopathic drugs. Patient unwilling to take part, too sick for consultation, not giving consent to join the study. Substance abuse or dependence.

It is based on the DSM-IV and ICD-10 criteria for major depression and can be used to evaluate the degree of depression a patient is experiencing.
