Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.The subjects coming under Diagnostic criteria will be selected for the study: Subjective Parameters: A) Subjects with following symptoms of Janu sandhigata vata will be taken for the study: a)Shula (Pain) b)Shotha (Swelling) c)Atopa (Crepitus) d)Vatapurna dhruti Sparsha (Joints feels like an inflated leather bag) e)Prasarana akunchanayo Vedana (Painful ROM) B) As per American college of Rheumatology (ACR) Clinical Classification criteria for the Knee OA, Using History and physical examination: a)Pain in the knee and 3 of the following, b)Over 50 years of Age c)Less than 30 minutes of morning stiffness d)Crepitus on active motion e)Bony Tenderness f)Bony enlargement g)No palpable warmth of synovium Objective Parameters: a)X-Ray: Knee joint Antero-Posterior and Lateral view: with Kellgren-Lawrence (KL)grading approach 2.The subjects of either gender over the age of 45-65 years. 3.Subjects diagnosed as Primary Knee Osteoarthritis. 4.Subjects fit for Matra basti will be selected for the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Subjects with Secondary Knee Osteoarthritis. 2.Subjects diagnosed with other systemic disorders which may interfere with the course of the disease and its management. 3.Subjects who are incapacitate, bedridden and confined to wheel chair. 4.Pregnant women and Lactating mother.
