Intervention1: Tablet Mycophenolate mofetil 500 mg: Tablet Mycophenolate mofetil 500 mg two tablets twice daily for one month and after follow up dose reduced to tablet Mycophenolate mofetil one table

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with erosive/ ulcerative oral lichen planus clinically. 2. Patient who are recalcitrant to topical modalities for erosive oral lichen planus more than 3 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not willing to be a part of the study. 2. Pregnant or breast-feeding women. 3. Any systemic or dermal disease or simultaneous use of other drugs affecting the immune system of the patient. 4. Patient having any other oral mucosal disease.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in the pain score, reduction in burning sensation, decrease in the size of the lesion. Complete clinical resolution of the lesion and remission. Timepoint: at baseline, 1 month and 2 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in the pain score, reduction in burning sensation, decrease in the size of the lesion. Complete clinical resolution of the lesion & remission. Timepoint: 2 years
