Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ALL CHILDREN IN THE AGE GROUP OD 3 MONTHS TO 13 YEARS POSTED FOR ELECTIVE CARDIAC SURGERY THROUGH MIDLINE STERNOTOMY WILL BE INCLUDED

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: PATIENT HAVING INFECTION AT INJECTION SITE PATIENTS HAVING ALLERGY TO LOCAL ANAESTHETICS

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome will be the pain scores measured with the MOPS scale measured in the postoperative periodTimepoint: The primary outcome will be the pain scores measured with the MOPS scale measured at 0, 1, 2,4, 6, 8,10,12 18, 24, 36 and 48 hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes include the time to first rescue analgesic, the rescue analgesic consumption in first 24 hours, Ramsay sedation scale, time to first oral intake, length of ICU stay and incidence of adverse eventsTimepoint: EVERYDAY TILL DISCHARGE
