Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Skeletally mature patients with an acute diaphyseal tibial fracture amenable to an intramedullary nailing are included. Age Group 18-50 yrs. Willingness to participate in the study and forgo any other concomitant treatment modality with written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: periprosthetic fractures, nonunions, presence of a contralateral injury that would restrict weight-bearing, previous knee surgery, presence of a wound over either entry site poor skin integrity requiring a flap, and inability to provide consent

MeasureTime frame
To compare anterior knee pain in patients undergoing intramedullary nailing for tibial shaft fractures via suprapatellar or infrapatellar approaches, using VAS and Kujala scores preoperatively, and at 6 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months. Radiologically, to assess entry point accuracy intraoperatively on C-arm and postoperative alignment via AP and lateral X-rays.Timepoint: 6week ,6months and 12 months
