Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children of age group 1-16 year irrespective of sex, ethnicity, season having chronocity less than one week presenting with classical symptoms of kaphaja kasa (acute productive cough). 2. H/o recurrence of same episodes in past.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children below 1 year and above 16 years of age. 2. Patient presenting with symptoms of Tamaka Shwasa (Bronchial asthma), Kshayaja & Kshataja Kasa. 3. Patient presenting with Pneumonia, COPD, Emphysema, Diphtheria, Pertusis. 4. Patient associated with systemic illness such as TB, HIV, cough with fever and other chronic debilitating diseases. 5. Patients not willing to take treatment.

MeasureTime frame
-Classical symptoms of kaphaja kasa described in charak Samhita such as Mandagni (Suppression of the power of digestion), Aruchi (Anorexia), Peenasa (rhinitis), Kasa severity, Nishteevana(Expectoration), Kaphasampoornaura (Phlegm fullness in the chest) etc will be considered and will be assessed by adopting a suitable arbitrary scoring pattern used in previous researches. -This all the subjective parametrs assests before and after treatment.Timepoint: Total Days-15 Days
