Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Post treatment (Non radiation and radiation locoregional therapy) patients of HCC with associated cirrhosis who will be undergoing an MRI examination for response assessment as a standard of care practice in the institute. (2) Availability of good quality MRI images on PACS.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Suboptimal quality (eg: motion artifacts). (2) Patients with absolute contraindications for an MRI such as aneurysm clips, cardiac pacemaker and acoustic implants. (3) Less than 18 years of age. (4) Cases in which LIRADS cannot be applied i.e. Cirrhosis due to congenital hepatic fibrosis, vascular disorder such as hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, Budd-Chiari syndrome, chronic portal vein occlusion, cardiac congestion, or diffuse nodular regenerative hyperplasia.
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1.To compare diagnostic accuracy of Abbreviated MRI vs Conventional Multiparametric MRI. 2.Inter-observer agreement of assessment of treated lesions on Abbreviated MRI and Conventional Multiparametric MRI. 3. To quantify % of patients with missed new viable lesions/ other findings on Abbreviated MRI.Timepoint: To calculate the percentage of lesions that are classified as concordant between abbreviated MRI and Multiparametric MRI. The concordance will be defined as the agreement between the interpretation of findings in an abbreviated MRI and Multiparametric MRI, and discordance as vice versa. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1) Evaluate performance of abbreviated MRI and multiparametric MRI in (A)Non radiation LRTs: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) Microwave ablation (MWA) Cryoablation Percutaneous ethanol ablation (PEA) Transarterial embolization (TAE) Conventional transarterial chemoembolization (cTACE) Drug-eluding bead transarterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE). B) Radiation based LRTs Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) Transarterial radioembolization (TARE) 2) To quantify incremental benefits in other tangibles-scan time and PACS storage.Timepoint: Evaluation of performance for different locoregional therapy and difference in scan time and storage. | — |
