Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Male and female systemically healthy patients. Male and female patients with chronic periodontitis, should be otherwise healthy. Male and female patients with chronic periodontitis and diabetes mellitus, should not have any other systemic disease. Presence of at least 30% sites with probing depth of 4 mm to 6mm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy and lactation Any systemic condition other than diabetes mellitus Patient unwilling to participate in the study Smoking or alcohol habits Pharmacological therapies for periodontal disease for last six months
