Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult consenting patients with proven chronic liver disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with inflammatory Bowel Disease. 2. Patients who have undergone Gut resection surgery 3. Pregnant patients

To establish a clinical picture of patients presenting with Chronic Liver Disease and estimate a correlation with Serum D-Lactate levels and severity of the disease with the data collected.Timepoint: Baseline- On the day of enrolment.
