Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients suspected to have PDR in one or both eyes, with no clinically obvious NV scheduled to undergo FFA. Patients diagnosed with PDR or tractional retinal detachments secondary to PDR in one eye with another eye clinically diagnosed to have NPDR requiring FFA to detect NV
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with NV due to etiologies like CRVO, BRVO, vasculitis etc. Patients with hazy media due to cataracts ( more than NS II or PSCC), VH that would impede imaging quality. Patients who have already initiated treatment for PDR with anti- VEGFs or PRP. Patients with a known allergy to fluorescein dye. Patients with pre-existing renal pathology or significantly deranged kidney function tests in whom FFA is contraindicated. Pregnant patients. Patients with serious systemic illness preventing participation.
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To detect NVD and NVE with high sensitivity and specificity using OCTA imaging using the ZEISS OCTA CIRRUS 6000 and thereby helping diagnose PDR efficiently.Timepoint: Every week | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To calculate PPV & NPV of OCTA in comparison to FFA for the diagnosis of PDR. To compare detection of NV with posterior field image of FFA vs OCTA field for imaging. Assessment of FAZ perfusion on OCTA vs FFA.Timepoint: 4 weeks | — |
