Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a. Children between 6-9 years of age b. Children who had not experienced local anaesthesia procedure before. c. Children in need of invasive dental procedures d. Needing local anesthesia infiltration. e. Children with positive or negative behavior as grounded in Wrigh s modification of the Frankl behavior rating scale f. Children who agreed to participate and also obtained written consent from their parents/guardians.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. Children with special health care needs. b. Children who exhibited uncooperative behavior during treatment procedures. c. Children with dental emergencies, such as trauma.

MeasureTime frame
The study will evaluate camouflage images and hidden word puzzles as distraction techniques, and it is expected that both will effectively reduce children s anxiety, improve cooperation, and enhance the dental local anesthesia experience.Timepoint: Heart rate will be assessed before, during and after needle insertion for local anesthesia infiltration and anxiety and pain perception before and after needle insertion
