Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Infants under the age of 1year with fever who have not achieved bladder control with suspected Urinary tract infection. Informed written consent by one of the two parents or the holder of parental authority

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of vital distress signs. Consent is not given. External genitalia or urinary tract malformation. Bladder dysfunction. Spine dysfunction.

MeasureTime frame
To collect urine sample using quick wee method from infants under 1 year of age with feverTimepoint: To collect urine sample within 5 minutes of supra pubic stimulation.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To analyze the collected sample using multistix10 point SG for leukocyte esterase & nitrates. 2.To confirm that no additional collection methods are needed. 3.To measure the time taken for the acquisition of sample 4.To gauge the satisfaction of parents & caregivers. Timepoint: before the procedure, 1 min after starting the procedure & 5 mins after starting the procedure
