Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Generally healthy patients (ASA 1). 2. 25 to 55 years of age. 3. Subjects with diagnosis of Stage II or III periodontitis 4. Suprabony pockets with probing pocket depth 5 mm after scaling and root planing. 5. Full mouth plaque score 15 percent (PI 1.5) & full mouth bleeding score (FMBS 15 percent) at the time of enrolment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Use of antibiotics or steroids during the last 3 months. 2. Smoking habit. 3. Diabetes mellitus. 4. Pregnancy and lactating women. 5. History of periodontal surgery or prosthetic restorations at the experimental teeth. 6. Previous or current radiation therapy. 7. Lung disease 8. Chronic inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease 9. Cardiovascular diseases
