Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients with evidence of cirrhosis on ultrasound, or liver histopathology if available along with clinical features of portal hypertension and presenting with altered mental status
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with Wilson s disease ,Patients who have received Lactulose, Rifaximin, LOLA, Patients with known neurological illness, History of TIPSS or Shunt surgery, Hepatocellular carcinoma or severe medical problems such as congestive heart failure, pulmonary disease, Pregnancy/Lactation
