Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Perimenopausal and postmenopausal women 2 Women who are willing to participate and comply with the requirements of the study after a detailed explanation of the procedure involved 3 Women with or without previous dry eye disease.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Women following any special diet 2 Women who are under hormonal contraception/hormonal treatments 3 Women who had undergone a hysterectomy due to pathologies. 4 Women with systemic illnesses like Diabetes Mellitus Both type1 and type2 Hypertension Asthma Connective tissue disorders etc 5 Women with ocular diseases affecting the lids conjunctiva cornea anterior uvea and glaucoma 6 Women who are on corticosteroid medications beta-blockers anti-histamines or other drugs that interact with the normal physiology of the tear film
