Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Family members who are , 1. living with the patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and looking after them continuously from the past six months 2. in the age group of 18 years and above. 3. accompanying the patient to the psychiatric units for the treatment 4. willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Family members who are, 1. having history of any psychiatric illness 2. other than the family members who accompanying the patient for the treatment 3. having understanding and hearing difficulty

The study assumes that, 1. Family members of patient with schizophrenia may have some degree of burden which disrupts quality of life. 2.Family members may face challenges in taking care of schizophrenic patient. 3. Family members may adopt some strategies or ways to overcome the stress and strain which quality of life can be improved.Timepoint: 4 weeks
