Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: undergoing head and neck surgery for oral, oropharyngeal, laryngeal hypo pharyngeal, thyroid and parotid carcinomas
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: patients presenting for only tracheostomy, emergency carotid artery blowout, direct laryngoscopy with or without biopsy, only airway examination under anesthesia and microlaryngeal surgeries
