Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients visiting to Radiology section for pre-implant evaluation in mandibular 1st molar region in the age group of 35-60 with history of T2DM for 2 or more years. 2. Non diabetic patients visiting to Radiology section for pre-implant evaluation in mandibular 1st molar region in the age group of 35-60. 3. Patients willing to participate in study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are on medication that interferes with bone metabolism 2. Inadequate bone for implant placement 3. Patients with metabolic disorders involving bone except for DM 4. Patients who are smokers 5. Patients who underwent radiotherapy and Chemotherapy 6. Patients with bone diseases. 7. Pregnant women

Bone mineral density of type 2 diabetic patients may be lower as compared to non diabetics.Timepoint: Initial assessment will be done after the CBCT is recorded and Final assessment will be done after 1 year
