Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Diagnosis: Individuals diagnosed with Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) or Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) based on clinical and diagnostic criteria. 2) Age Range: Adults aged 18 60 years. 3) Medical Stability: Participants with stable liver function and no signs of acute liver failure. 4) Metabolic Markers: Individuals with metabolic risk factors such as obesity, Type II diabetes, dyslipidemia, or hypertension. 5) Physical Fitness: Participants who are medically fit to perform yoga as assessed by a physician. 6) Consent: Patients who are willing to participate and provide written informed consent after being explained the nature and purpose of the study. 7) Psychological Well-being: Individuals with stable mental health conditions (i.e., no severe psychiatric disorders that may interfere with participation).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Alcohol Consumption: Individuals with a history of excessive alcohol intake or alcohol-related liver disease. 2) Chronic Liver Diseases: Presence of other liver conditions such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, or autoimmune liver diseases. 3) Severe Comorbidities: Individuals with severe cardiovascular disease, end-stage renal disease, active cancer, or any other life-threatening illness. 4) Pregnancy & Lactation: Pregnant or breastfeeding women. 5) Physical Limitations: Individuals with musculoskeletal disorders or neurological impairments that prevent safe participation in yoga exercises. 6) Non-Compliance: Individuals unwilling to adhere to the study protocol, attend regular sessions, or complete follow-up assessments. 7) Unwillingness: Patients who are not willing to bear the cost of investigations, already performing yoga, going to gym or have incorporated any other form of weight loss regimen or diet in their routine.
