Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who are willing to comply with the study related procedures after signing an informed consent form. Both male and female patients will be considered. Non-contributing medical history. Patients having Chronic periodontitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Chronic or acute systemic disorder. Pregnant and lactating women. Use of local or systemic antimicrobial agents within 6 months prior to the entry into study. Smokers.

Detection and quantification of Porphyromonas gingivalis in subgingival plaque samples using molecular methods (Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction) before and after non-surgical periodontal therapy.Timepoint: 1 month

Assessment of clinical indices such as probing pocket depth (PPD), clinical attachment level (CAL), bleeding on probing (BOP), and plaque index (PI).Timepoint: 1 month
