Interventions

Intervention1: Brain gym exercises: Brain gym exercises for 6 weeks will be given to group A Control Intervention1: Dual task exercises: Dual task exercises for 6 weeks will be given to group B

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Age between 45 60 years of age 2 Known history of Type 2 diabetes mellitus with at least 5 years of duration being treated by diet, oral hypoglycaemic, or insulin therapy. 3 Have no musculoskeletal pain or limitation that limits physical training 4 Use of assistive device while walking only 5 MoCA score 18-25 6 Have diabetes and hypertension under control 7 Minimal literacy, able to read and write English

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Co morbidities or any acute illness 2 History or evidence of neurological disorder (i.e. hemiparesis, myelopathy, cerebellar ataxia etc) 3 Who had previously participated in Brain Gym sessions or took part in any other physical exercise or memory training program 4 Pre-existing psychiatric illness, such as schizophrenia or neurological disease like Alzheimer s or Parkinson s or affecting peripheral nerves (eg CIDP, toxins and paraneoplastic syndrome)
