Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with DKD of GFR category G2 and G3a/G3b Adult patients within the age of 30 to 65 years Patients who are on regular follow-up at Kasturba Hospital for more than 1 year atleast.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of acute kidney injury over the past 1 year History of addition/ dose change of medications History of new event History of nephrolithiasis/ urinary tract stones History of malignancy Patients with less thsn 12 months follow up Other causes of kidney disease that develops during the course of follow up

MeasureTime frame
We expect to identify miRNAs involved in disease pathogenesis and progression of DKD. Upregulation/downregulation of specific miRNA could help us understand the variable prognosis of DKD. MiRNA profiling and analysis could enable us to identify diagnostic and therapeutic markers in management of DKD.Timepoint: 4-8weeks
