Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Isolated subcondylar fracture of mandible with occlusal discrepancy. Displaced and deviated types of subcondylar fracture. American Society of Anaesthesiologist classification (ASA) I and II patient.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Edentulous mandible fracture. Pre-existing osseous pathology or history of fracture of mandibular condyle. Previous history of pathology in temoporomandibular joints. Condylar fracture associated with any other mid-face fracture or having additional fracture of mandible. Communited fracture. Patients who are not fit to undergo procedure under general anaesthesia. Previous history of irradiation of head and neck area.

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome is to compare the clinical and radiological outcomes of Lambda plate and Delta plate in the management of subcondylar fracture of mandible and to assess Occlusal discrepancy, Maximum interincisal opening, Lateral Excursion, Protrusive movement, Bite force and post operative complications.Timepoint: The estimated time may range upto 6 months.

Secondary outcome is to assess pain, facial nerve function, fracture stability, restoration of posterior ramus height.Timepoint: The estimated time may range upto 6 months
