Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals showing symptoms of obesity, BMI range of greater than or equal to 25.0 and less than or equal to 34.9 Without or with controlled co-morbid conditions such as dyslipidemia, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with known endocrinological disorders such as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. Major depressive or other severe psychiatric disorders Drug induced obesity. Individuals taking herbal drugs or nutritional supplements or multivitamin supplements within the past 30 days for weight loss. Pregnant and lactating females. Individuals taking Metformin or Insulin for Diabetes mellitus.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome will be the 10% body weight reduction from baseline.Timepoint: Follow up on Day 15th, Day 30th, Day 45th, Day 60th, Day 75th, Day 90th

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in body circumference, percentage of body fat, visceral fat Improvement in fasting blood glucose and insulin level, Lipid profile (Total cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL & HDL) Inflammatory marker (Hs-CRP), Oxidative stress markers ( MDA, SOD) along with Adipocytokines (leptin and adiponectin).Timepoint: Follow ups on- Day 15, Day 30, Day 45, Day 60, Day 75, Day 90
