Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients not consuming any quantity of Alcohol for last 1 year. 2. Recently diagnosed patient having NAFLD with liver Fat content more than 0.64. 3. Male or female patient, of any race of age group 25 yrs to 55 yrs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 1 diabetes mellitus, heart disease (ischemic or congestive), Hepatic disease, renal disease, any severe systemic co-morbidities. 2. Using any medication during the past 3 months, previous treatment (with thiazolidinediones, biguanides, or insulin) 3. Pregnant or lactating women 4. Patients who are immune-compromised.

MeasureTime frame
Ayurvedic formulation Mustaghan vati prepared by Cyperus rotundus Linn. will be more effective than Tab. Pioglitazone in patients of NAFLD.Timepoint: 90 days.
