Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who have psychiatric medication noncomplaince, poor social support, and impaired functioning level Age between 18 to 60 years Diagnosed with a chronic mental illness (e g schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depressive disorder) as per ICD-11 criteria Currently receiving psychiatric treatment at AIIMS Bhopal Psychiatry OPD Residing with a primary caregiver who has been actively involved in their care Able to understand, communicate read& write in Hindi or English Willing to participate in the nurse-led home visit-based Partnership Intervention program and follow-up assessments
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Currently hospitalized or requiring inpatient psychiatric care Presence of a coexisting neurological disorder (e g dementia) that significantly impairs cognitive functioning and participation Enrolled in another psychosocial intervention program that may impact medication adherence, social support, or global functioning Primary caregiver has a diagnosed mental illness or cognitive impairment affecting their ability to participate in the intervention Patients with severe intellectual disability or significant communication barriers that hinder participation Unwilling or unable to provide informed consent or complete follow-up assessments
