Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.both term and preterm neonates upto 28 days having seizures. 2.neonates who have reeived phenobarbitone as first line AED.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Neonates with a positive history of maternal drug ingestion. 2.Neonates who received more than one anticonvulsant medication prior to enrollement. 3.Neonates with major congenital malforation
