Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Clinically diagnosed patients of IBS according to the Rome III criteria will be included in the study. 2. Patients of either sex in the age group of 30-60 years. 3. Patients who have agreed to sign the written informed consent and follow the protocol. 4. IBS Severity Scoring Scale (Severity Score from 75 to 299 ( total of 500). 5. Bristol Stool Scale (Type 7- Inflammation and diarrhoea).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant and lactating women 2. Patient with active GIT bleeding 3. Patient with obstruction and perforation 4. Patient with gastric carcinoma Uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes. 5. Patients with laboratory abnormalities with hemoglobin less than 9 g per dl, AST and ALT more than 120 IU per L, serum creatinine more than 1.5 mg per dl, occult blood in stool, and increased CRP are among the exclusion criteria. 6. Patients with renal, cardiac, pulmonary and other systemic illnesses.
