Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient diagnosed as per the criteria of ICD-10 Age between 20 to 40 years. Patient with history of depression less than one year. Patient who were under medication for depression previously but not using now. Patient having the score between 7-24 on Hamilton,s depression scale.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with other psychiatric disorders Patients with major depressive disorder Pregnant women Patients with chronic illness like Cancer, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Hyper & Hypothyroidism. Patients with suicidal tendency or thoughts. Organic Mood disorders Chronic drug abuse, e.g. barbiturates etc. Chronic Alcoholic Patients having score above 24 on Hamilton s depression scale
