Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To establish a correlation between the severity of non-proliferative & proliferative diabetic retinopathy with angiogenic and inflammatory tear biomarkersTimepoint: first 2 months sample collection next 3 to 4 months sample processing next 5-6 months data analysis and report formation next 7-8 months manuscript communication

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate scores from national eye institute visual function questionnaire-25 with the level of VEGF & IL6 in tears Correlate the tear level of angiogenic biomarker with inflammatory biomarker in tears at different stages of progressive diabetic retinopathyTimepoint: first 2 months sample collection next 3 to 4 months sample processing next 5-6 months data analysis and report formation next 7-8 months manuscript communication
