Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Uncomplicated elective caesarean section under regional anesthesia. Women aged 18-35 yrs. Women with term singleton fetus (assessed on ultrasound having term gestation(37-40wks). Asa 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of previous abdominal surgeries except previous caesarean section. Intra-operative blood loss more than 1000ml. Infectious conditions such as chorioamnionitis. Medical conditions such as diabetes mellitus, pre-eclampsia, bleeding disorders. Intra-operative bowel or bladder injuries.

Measure	Time frame
Correlation between the duration of hospital stay and the effect of early, intermediate and conventional oral feeding for women post caesarean section.Timepoint: vitals are monitored every 15 minutes till 2hours and then for 4 hours once for till 48hours	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
Appearance of bowel movements. Time to passage of flatus, stool Observe for complications-nausea, vomiting, watery stools, abdominal distension. Timepoint: the time for passage of flatus and stools are noted. complications if any are noted. vitals are noted till 48hours.	—
