Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: All pedestrians of any age involved in road traffic accidents attending Trauma centre IMS, BHU 2. Injury Status: Individuals who sustained injuries as a result of RTAs and were admitted to the tertiary care center. 3. Time Frame: Cases occurring within a specified study period (e.g., the past year). 4. Location: Pedestrians involved in RTAs occurring within the geographical area served by the tertiary care center. 5. Consent: Patients or their guardians must provide informed consent for the use of their medical data in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Non-Pedestrian Cases: Individuals not classified as pedestrians (e.g., cyclists, motorcyclists, or occupants of vehicles involved in the accident). 2. Uninjured Individuals: Pedestrians who were involved in an RTA but did not sustain any injuries. 3. Outpatient Cases: Patients who received treatment on an outpatient basis and were not admitted to the hospital. 4. Incomplete Records: Cases with incomplete medical records or missing data critical for the study analysis. 5. Legal Issues: Individuals involved in RTAs with ongoing legal proceedings that may restrict the use of their data for research purposes. These criteria will ensure a focused and relevant study population, facilitating accurate analysis of injury patterns among pedestrians involved in RTAs.
