Intervention1: Vitamin D soft gel capsules of 60,000 IU: Vitamin D of 60,000 IU is administered once weekly for 8 weeks

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged more than 18years 2. Patients with dry eye disease symptoms for 2 months or more 3. OSDI score more than 12 4. Along with existing Vitamin D deficiency. (Blood levels less than 20 ng/ml) 5. Patients consenting to be a part of the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Previously diagnosed cases of autoimmune diseases such as Sjogren s syndrome or lupus syndrome; 2. Patients with a history of ocular surgery within the past 6 months; 3. Corneal opacity 4. Uncontrolled ocular diseases including glaucoma and corneal/ surface disorders that could affect the spread of the tear film or corneal integrity; 5. Use of any topical ophthalmic medications in the study eye; 6. Use of contact lenses within the past 1 month; 7. Patients who do not wish to participate in the study
