This study looks at two different ways to help stroke patients improve hand movement and control One method uses Kinetic sand to exercise the hands while the other encourages use of the weaker hand by limiting the stronger one. Both groups also get standard therapy We are comparing.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Post stroke Patient with upper limb hemiparesis. 2 Within 6 month of stroke onset 3 Age between 20-55 years. 4 Ability to follow study instructions 5 No limited range of motion of the wrist and hand Ability to grip various forms (cylindrical spherical and power grip) 6 No significant cognitive deficit (a score of 24 points on the Mini-Mental Status Examination) 7 Brunnstorm motor stage 6.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.secondary stroke 2. Other neurological diseases 3. Loss of sensory function. 4. Osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis 5.Unilateral neglect or visual filed deficits 6. Serious pain or swelling, or edema of the affected hand.
