Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Students who voluntarily gave a written informed consent to participate in the study were enrolled in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Students self-reporting any kind of physical, psychological disorders and students with ear, respiratory tract infections, recent history of surgery of ear or vocal apparatus were excluded. Students practicing any form of Pranayama, Yoga, Meditation or other relaxation techniques for past one year were not enrolled in the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in perceived stress levels as measured by a validated tool such as the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) before and after the intervention period. Improvement in the cardiorespiratory parameters after training.Timepoint: Baseline, 4 weeks and 8 weeks

Comparison of both intervention groups with the control group, to assess the relative efficacy of each pranayama technique.Timepoint: Baseline, 4 weeks & 8 weeks
