Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Single rooted single canal tooth with necrotic pulp as diagnosed by clinical examination and radiographically. Completely formed root apices. Straight roots without severe curvature. Presence of Periapical lesions with a minimum diameter of 2mm and maximum diameter of 5 mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of root caries or shape and size anomalies, presence of cracks or fractures, External/internal resorption, Tooth mobility, Periapical radiolucency more than 5mm

1)To determine the efficacy of intracanal administration of Mangosteen and Petasin as medicament in combating Candida albicans. 2)To determine the efficacy of intracanal administration of Mangosteen and Petasin as medicament in combating Enterococcus faecalis. 3)To comparatively evaluate the antimicrobial actions of Petasin and Mangosteen against Candida albicans and Enterococcus faecalis when delivered as intracanal medicaments.
