Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 18-65 years. 2. Undergoing elective 2-level lumbar fixation surgery. 3. ASA physical status I III. 4. Consent to participate.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Known allergy to local anesthetics. 2. Pre-existing chronic pain or opioid use disorder. 3. Coagulation disorders. 4. Pregnancy.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Opioid Consumption: Total opioid consumption in the first 24 hours post-surgery, measured in mg of tramadol equivalent.Timepoint: first 24 hours post-surgery, measured in mg of tramadol equivalent.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Pain Scores (NRS): Numerical Rating Scale (0 10) at specific time points postoperatively (e.g., at 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, and 24 hours). 2. Intraoperative (IO) Fentanyl Use: Total fentanyl dose administered during surgery. 3. Adverse Events: Document adverse events such as nausea, vomiting, hypotension, respiratory depression, and block-related complications. 4. Total Opioid Dose: Cumulative opioid dose (tramadol and fentanyl) administered in the first 24 hours post-surgery. Timepoint: Pain Score at 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, and 24 hours
