Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures under sedation in the gastrointestinal endoscopy suite.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient refusal 2.Patients less than 18years 3.Procedures done under general anaesthesia with endotracheal tube or a supraglottic airway device.

MeasureTime frame
To study the depth of sedation administered during GI endoscopic procedures using Ramsay sedation scale RSS.Timepoint: 1 day—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To study the practice pattern of medications administered for sedation. 2.To study the dosages of drugs administered for sedation. 3.To observe the RSS of patients at the end of the procedure. 4.To find out the incidence of adverse events during the procedure and in the recovery unit till discharge. 5.To observe the time to discharge from recovery unit. Timepoint: 1 DAY—
