Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants between 65 and 85 years of age Participants with the symptoms of insomnia disorder mentioned in DSM 5 criteria Participants who have ISI score of 15 to 21 and PSQI score of 6 to 21 Those who are willing to participate in this study and sign informed consent forms

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with abnormal cognition and speech causing difficulty in comprehension and expression Insomnia secondary to neurological psychiatric metabolic disorders drug-induced and infections Individuals on medication having fasting Plasma glucose level above 126 mg/dl and postprandial 160 mg/dl Individuals on medication having Blood pressure above 150/90 mm hg Individuals on medication having Total Cholesterols level above 190 mg per dl Previously diagnosed with sleep apnoea restless legs syndrome NREM sleep arousal disorders REM sleep behaviour disorder nightmare disorder and narcolepsy
