Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Participants between 20 to 60 yrs of age. 2) Both males and females. 3) Irrespective of caste religion 4)Diagnosed cases of depression as per DSM-5 criteria 5) Willing to participate and provide informed consent. 6)Participants ready to complete depresssion Scale. 7) Participants ready to complete the gut health questionnaire 8)Participants ready to complete agni assessment Scale 9) Participants ready to complete the majjadhara kala assessment scale
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Severe Mental Disorders: 1. Individuals with known history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or other major mental disorders. 2. Severe Medical Con - Individuals with known history of cancer, AIDS, or other severe medical conditions that could affect gut health. 3. Current Antibiotic Use: - Participants who have used antibiotics in the past 6 months, as these can affect gut microbiota. 4. Substance Abuse: - Individuals with a history of current alcohol or drug abuse. 5. Gastrointestinal Surgery:- Participants who have undergone major gastrointestinal surgery in the past 2 years. 6) Probiotics or Prebiotics Use: - Individuals who have regularly used probiotics or prebiotics in the past 3 months. 7). Pregnant and lactating Women: - Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
