Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age group of 18-45 years Maxillary and mandibular molars and premolars with deep caries involving only the occlusal surface, showing signs and symptoms of reversible pulpitis, not tender to percussion Teeth with good periodontal health No radiographic evidence of periapical changes or pathology

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: symptomatic teeth (history of spontaneous pain), radiographic evidence of periapical changes or pathology, negative response to pulp sensibility testing, periodontally compromised teeth, patients with unsatisfactory oral hygiene maintenance and pregnant and lactating females

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
On CBCT assessment, the probability of formation of volume of dentine bridge formed after 6 months by PRF may be higher than MTA. PRF could be a promising alternative to MTA for direct pulp capping in permanent teeth with carious exposure. Timepoint: baseline, 3 months,6 months
