Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Women who can read Kannada or English 2. Women undergoing elective abdominal hysterectomy 3. Type of incision - Pfannenstiel incision 4. Medically stable

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Peripartum hysterectomy 2. Diagnosed psychiatric disorder 3. Suspected malignant conditions 4. Morbidly obese with Body Mass Index greater than 40 kgm-2(BMI) 5. Neuromuscular conditions that affect mobility 6. Existing musculoskeletal pain prior to surgery (NPRS greater than 5) 7. Any other surgeries 6 months prior to TAH
