Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients admitted in ICU with respiratory failure

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Failure to obtain informed consent from the patient/ next-of-kin. 2. Patient with unstable spinal fractures. 3. Pregnant patients 4. Non-feasibility of lung ultrasonography within first 24 hours of ICU admission.
