Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status (ASA) I & II Scheduled for elective pediatric surgery under general anesthesia with intravenous induction.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Physical factors preventing placement of the Virtual Reality headset- Injury to face/head which prevents wearing of the headset or if the headset does not fit properly. Skin infections- scabies, lice or any other infectious skin condition on the head or face Children with respiratory infections. Children with history of giddiness or vertigo or seizures Children with visual or auditory impairments which impede interaction with the study devices. Significant developmental delay or severe intellectual disability. Parental preference against their child s use of video screens. Comprehension barrier hindering an adequate understanding of the study procedures. Children prescribed sedatives on the preoperative night.
