Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients giving informed consent, elective colorectal surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients not giving consent, emergency colorectal surgeries

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Operative time for the procedure. Blood loss incurred during the procedure. Number of lymph nodes harvested. Laparoscopic to open conversion rates. Intraoperative major/minor errors, such as difficult tributary ligation/hollow viscus injury, etc.Subjective evaluation of the imaging and ergonomics for the surgeon during procedures like comfort, ease of anastomosis, image quality, development of headache, etc. Timepoint: Operative time shall be assessed from port insertion till dissection of specimen and the time taken to perform anastomosis (depending on the surgery performed)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Anastomotic leak rates. Development of pneumonia/sepsis. Length of hospital stay. Any other morbidity in the post-operative period Timepoint: Patients will be followed up for 4 weeks post-surgery till final histopathological reports are received.
