Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of both sexes who are more than 18 years of age. 2. Patients who are shifted from operation theatre to intensive care unit on mechanical ventilation after major cancer surgeries under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1.. Patients whose data is unavailable or incomplete for that period. 2. Patients who underwent Neuro, Paediatric and Head & Neck oncosurgeries. 3. Preexisting chronic ventilator dependence

MeasureTime frame
To identify the factors associated with prolonged postoperative mechanical ventilation after major thoracic and abdominal oncosurgeriesTimepoint: 48 hours after surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To observe the duration of ICU stay and length of hospital stay of patients who were shifted mechanically ventilated to ICU after major thoracic and abdominal cancer surgery. To observe for any postoperative complication Timepoint: 30 days after surgery
