Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Clinical 1.Healthy 4-9 yr old child 2.Co-operative behavior (+ and ++ Frankel behaviour rating scale) 3.Maxillary/mandibular primary molar with dentoalveolar abscess 4.Physiologic Mobility 5.Retreatment cases i.e failed pulpotomies / pulpectomies 6.Extraoral swelling 7.Presence of sinus tract or fistula formation 8.Tender on palpation Radiographic 1.Furcation radiolucency 2.Widened lamina dura
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Clinical 1.Non-restorable teeth i.e. vertical fracture, subgingival crown margins, root pieces. 2.Teeth with symptomatic or asymptomatic pulpitis reversible 3.Pathologic mobility- grade III or more 4.No pain on palpation 5.Medically-compromised patients 6.Patients in whom rubber dam placement is not possible 7.Children of parents unwilling to provide informed consent for the trial Radiographic 1.No radiographic evidence of irreversible pulpitis 2.Teeth with signs of cyst formation 3.Teeth with remaining root length less than 2/3rd of total root length 4.Periapical radiographic changes due to causes other than endodontic infection 5.Primary molars with no succedaneous tooth 6.Tooth with internal/ external root resorption
