Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: Participants aged between 15-18 years, as this is a critical period for assessing both malocclusion and nutritional status. 2. Tribal Population: Participants must belong to a recognized tribal community within the selected study area. 3. Informed Consent: Written informed consent from guardians 4. Residency: Participants must be permanent residents of the study area to ensure consistent dietary and environmental factors. 5. Health Condition: Participants must not have any severe systemic diseases or conditions that may interfere with the study s focus on nutrition and oral health (e.g., chronic diseases that affect bone health, such as osteoporosis).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Age Outside the Target Range: Individuals younger than 15 or older than 18 years will be excluded, as they fall outside the scope of the study. 2. Non-Tribal Population: Participants who do not belong to the tribal community being studied will be excluded. 3. Severe Oral Pathologies: Participants with severe oral health conditions that could confound the results (eg, severe periodontal disease, systemic conditions affecting the oral cavity, or those undergoing active orthodontic treatments) will be excluded. 4. Recent Nutritional Interventions: Participants who have undergone any recent medical or nutritional treatments (eg, supplements for malnutrition) within the last 6 months will be excluded, as they could introduce bias in assessing the relationship between nutrition and malocclusion. 5. Non-Cooperation: Participants who are unwilling to cooperate or do not complete the study protocol (eg, missing dental exams or failing to provide accurate dietary information) will be excluded from the final analysis.
