Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both male and female 12 years old school going caries free children without systemic diseases. Children with cooperative behaviour and whose parents give consent. Children having deep irregular demineralized white or yellow-light brown areas around pits and fissures which resists on removal of probe on molar teeth. At least one permanent molar should be completely erupted in maxillary or mandibular arch without operculum involvement.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with any oral pathologies or developmental anomalies and wearing orthodontic appliances or under any orthodontic therapy. Ongoing antimicrobial therapy and who received antimicrobial therapy last month. History of pit and fissure sealants or fluoride application in past and who are on fluoride tablet in present. Known allergy to any content of preventive materials. If pits and fissures are well coalesced and self cleansing. Children and parents unable to understand the language of the study.

Primary outcome will be Colony forming units of streptococcus mutans from saliva of 12 years school children.Timepoint: At baseline, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months.
